Here are some inexpensive ways to make a big impact at your next birthday party without breaking your budget.

Balloons:

Balloons are very easy to find, come in all different colors and can make a huge impact with very little expense. Here are some creative and impressive ways to use balloons.

Hang from ceiling. No helium needed – just blow them up & tape them to any ceiling at different lengths to create a super cute yet inexpensive decoration. (Balloons cost $1.50, string cost $2.00 a roll & tape can be found at Dollar store for $1.00)

You can use them for centerpieces: This balloon centerpiece is very simple and elegant yet cheap and easy to make.

Make shapes / columns with balloons: These balloons make a huge statement to this party and create a WOW factor for sure. This look is time consuming, but if you’re willing to do the work, the outcome is breathtaking.

You can find all kinds of things at the dollar store like:

  • cups
  • serving dishes
  • treat bag fillers
  • candy
  • balloons
  • picture frames
  • candles

Be creative with your back drop:

Use plastic table cloths from dollar store or themed posters (this one was less than $10.00)

Hang them on wall, print & cut out their favorite characters & tape them to back splash, Add a banner with your child’s name or buy glitter letters from craft store. You can even add balloons, streamers, glitter or anything else to finish it up.

Spring Wedding

Use solid colored table wear:

Save money (and time) by purchasing solid color plates and cups. Your plates don’t have to match your theme and can sometimes look better to not be decorated. Use themed decorations for centerpieces, backdrops and signs.

Clear or white silverware is great because you can find it anywhere, it matches everything and you can save the silverware you don’t use for your next event.
